New Year’s resolutions for a better Groundwork!
It has been an amazing year at Groundwork! and the best part is that there’s always room to get better. Dena and I took a moment today to come up with three shared New Year’s resolutions for how we want to manage Groundwork! It’s about setting a positive intent for the coming year. You are hereby invited to hold us accountable!
Grow while maintaining the feel of a close-knit community.
Sarah: To me this means taking the time to know each member, and planning events like potlucks and jam nights that help members get to know each other.
Dena: I want to nurture the partnerships and synergy that have been created by our members at Groundwork! and evolve as new members join our community.
Maintain an healthy work-life balance, and encourage our members to do the same.
Sarah: For me this is taking time every morning for meditation and yoga, bringing healthy food to work, and spending time outdoors whenever possible. I’d like to teach some simple office yoga moves to our members to help them stay relaxed and stretched while they work.
Dena: To me this means keeping an awareness to our bodies’ needs throughout the day and giving ourselves the proper fuel and movement.
Stay fun and playful.
Sarah: Darts, ping pong, and legos are helpful! To me this also means finding the humor in things, smiling frequently, and making time to connect with others in a non-serious way every day.
Dena: We will enjoy one another each day with warm smiles and a lot of laughter, and play more ping pong!
So that’s what you can expect from us in the year to come. What about you? What would you like to contribute to your community in 2016?
