It’s time to celebrate entrepreneurship on the South Coast!

SoCoLAUNCH!

We’ve been hard at work planning what looks to be a huge celebration of entrepreneurship on the South Coast. Under the loose collective SoCoLAUNCH!, several organizations met at Groundwork! last week to plan an evening of inspiring keynotes and networking at Groundwork!

This event centers around the launch of EforAll, a non-profit that supports entrepreneurship based in Lowell and Lawrence. EforAll recently secured funding to bring its successful programming to the South Coast, including pitch contests, an accelerator program and other events aimed to bring entrepreneurship to underserved communities.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with EforAll; they will base their New Bedford operations out of Groundwork! and we plan to host some of their pitch contests in the near future.

This collaboration extends much further than Groundwork! and EforAll.  Several organizations and businesses have signed on to SoCoLAUNCH!, a meetup.com group that was formed to collectively promote all events supporting entrepreneurship on the South Coast. These groups will come together on September 24 to celebrate entrepreneurship together at Groundwork!

The September 24th event at Groundwork! will feature keynote speaker and Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Jay Ash, along with local entrepreneur and founder of Factory Five, David Smith, and noted serial entrepreneur Desh Deshpande.

Participants will have a chance to interact and network with representatives of the following organizations prior to and following the speaking portion of the evening:

Sound fun? You really don’t want to miss this party. We’ve all been working hard to build a united community in support of entrepreneurship, and we can’t wait to show off the fruits of our efforts. This is a free event but make sure to register on Eventbrite so that we have enough refreshments. The excitement starts at 5:30pm sharp. See you soon!
