Two Groundwork Locations Are Better Than One
Why two locations are better than one. One of my favorite member benefits is having access to two Groundwork locations. Each space has its own unique vibe, personality, and energy, and I genuinely love them both.
As Community Coordinator, I have the privilege of watching members move between locations, build relationships, and become part of the vibrant community that makes Groundwork so special. Whether it’s gathering at BizLab, sharing a meal at a member lunch, attending an art installation, or simply connecting over coffee in the kitchen, these moments create the rhythm of our community.
It’s the exchange of ideas, the willingness to support one another, and the diverse mix of people and businesses that give Groundwork its heartbeat.
More Than a Workspace
Recently, I spent some time working from our New Bedford location. As I looked around the room, I found myself thinking about all the little things that make Groundwork different.
Of course, there are the practical benefits. Members have access to two beautiful locations, meeting rooms, free coffee, office amenities, and flexible membership options designed to meet people where they are. Those things matter, and they certainly make the workday easier.
But what really sets Groundwork apart is the people.
I’ve watched members celebrate milestones together, support one another through challenges, share referrals, and show up for each other’s events. That kind of community can’t be manufactured. It grows organically, one conversation at a time.

The Value of Two
I love that our members aren’t limited to one location. Maybe you have a meeting in New Bedford but usually work in Fall River. Maybe you’re looking for a change of scenery for the day. Maybe you just want to connect with a different group of members.
Whatever the reason, having access to both spaces expands your network and creates opportunities to build relationships outside your usual workspace.
What I find most rewarding is watching members become familiar faces in both communities. Someone who starts out working exclusively in Fall River begins popping into New Bedford for BizLab or an event. Before long, they’re greeting members by name and making connections.
The same thing happens in reverse. Members from New Bedford visit Fall River for a meeting, attend a member lunch, or bring their four-legged coworker along for the day. What starts as a visit often leads to new connections, familiar faces, and a network that extends far beyond their home location.
Where Connections Take Root
Over time, something really special happens. Instead of feeling like two separate coworking locations, Groundwork begins to feel like one larger community. Members recognize one another at events, support each other’s businesses, share referrals, and celebrate each other’s successes regardless of which location they call home.
In a world where so many people work remotely and spend their days behind a screen, those connections matter. They create a sense of belonging that goes beyond a membership or a workspace. They remind us that we are part of something bigger.

The Difference
To me, that’s one of the most valuable benefits of being a Groundwork member. It’s not just access to two buildings. It’s access to a broader community, new relationships, fresh perspectives, and opportunities that might never have happened otherwise.
This is the pulse that makes us, well, us. This is Groundwork.
