With Gratitude: Thankful for community & pie

Here at Groundwork, we’re reflecting on a season of gratitude. This fall marks three years in Fall River and eleven in New Bedford—milestones that fill us with pride and appreciation. As we look back on these years, one thing is clear: we wouldn’t be here without the incredible people who fill our spaces each day.

The Heartbeat of Our Community

Our members are truly the heartbeat of Groundwork. Their creativity, kindness, and collaborative spirit fuel the energy that flows through our coworking spaces. You can feel it in the hum of conversation over morning coffee, the laughter that fills the kitchen at lunchtime, and the spontaneous brainstorming that happens around our meeting tables.

Moreover, gratitude isn’t reserved for special occasions here—it’s part of our daily rhythm. It shows up in countless small moments: a teammate offering feedback, someone sharing a snack, or a kind word exchanged in passing. Together, these gestures create a culture of appreciation and support. In many ways, they remind us that community is coworking’s greatest strength.

A Season for Connection (and Pie!)

As we move closer to Thanksgiving, our sense of gratitude deepens. This time of year invites us to slow down, reflect, and celebrate the connections that make our work meaningful. We’re especially excited to gather once again—breaking bread (or, more accurately, sharing pie) with longtime members and new faces alike.

During these gatherings, every conversation, laugh, and shared story becomes a reminder of why we do what we do. These aren’t just events—they’re opportunities to pause, connect, and appreciate how far we’ve come together.

Curious to experience the spirit of Groundwork firsthand? Our Social Club is the perfect place to start—where connections grow naturally over conversation, creativity, and coffee.

Practicing Gratitude—Every Day

As the year winds down, it’s natural to take stock of what—and who—makes a difference in our lives. Maybe it’s the colleague who made you laugh today, the client who trusted you with a big project, or the quiet moment when you realized how far you’ve come.

No matter where or how it shows up, gratitude has the power to shift our perspective. It helps us notice the good—in our work, our spaces, and each other—and carry that awareness forward.

Practicing gratitude in the workplace helps strengthen teams, build trust, and create a greater sense of well-being for everyone.

So, as we head into the holiday season, let’s practice gratitude daily. Let’s celebrate the people who lift us up, the community we’ve built, and the small, joyful moments that make every day meaningful.
