YOUR WEEKEND gets a tattoo
Groundwork! In the Raw
FRIDAY, MARCH 2 – Join us here tonight at Groundwork from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for the official unveiling of the new mural art in our phone booths. You won’t find Ma Bell in them, but the work of graphic designer and artist Chelsea Arruda. Chelsea will also be bringing and selling select work and apparel from her design collection. And about those phone booths – you won’t find phones in them, either. Just the one you bring yourself. The Groundwork! Phone Booths are the private spaces members enter when they have to be on that critical conference call. Or, get in touch with their bookies quickly. Now, they get to do it with art looking over their shoulders.
A Mid-Winter’s 3rd EyE
SATURDAY, MARCH 3 – You don’t have to wait an entire year for a taste of 3rd EyE Unlimited. The hip-hop art, music, and dance jam that got down in downtown New Bedford last summer is holding a special 3rd EyE Winter Jam on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
The venue moves indoors for this special mix. The Winter Jam takes place from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Dennison Memorial Community Center, 755 First Street, New Bedford, MA. But, all the elements that made 3rd EyE groove downtown will be happening all day long.
That means basketball, art, music, dance, doodles, food, games, and fun for the entire family. It’s all hosted by 3rd EyE’s JunnYahh Rodriguez and it’s all free to attend.
