In this Pushy Women edition of Ground Control, Sarah Athanas talks to Groundwork! intern Lisa Schiavone and Abby Wright, whose BFA show “Vinegar” is currently on display in our gallery. These pushy women are students at UMass Dartmouth and had a lot to say about art, politics, entrepreneurship, and why they’d prefer to take out their own trash.

Sarah lived all over South America, produced a documentary about Patagonia, and worked in digital marketing for a decade before settling in New Bedford to start Groundwork. She loves running a coworking space because she gets to meet motivated, intelligent, and interesting people.
