NBx2: The New Bedford Neighborhood Bus Tour
September 17, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeGet on the bus Sunday, September 17, 2017 for a fresh look at some of the people, places and ideas that drive New Bedford forward. We’ll start downtown and then hit the North, West, and South End neighborhoods in a chartered bus with tour guides, Mark Fuller of the New Bedford Preservation Society and Carl Simmons of the Friends of the New Bedford Free Public Library.
Meet at beautiful Grace Episcopal Church beginning at 1:30 p.m. and take the opportunity to discover this architectural gem before boarding the bus at 2:00 p.m.
Our first stop will be a surprise destination in the North End. Find out what it is by clicking “Join” or “interested” on this event page. We’ll announce it the week before we roll!
Back on the bus, the next stop is United House of Prayer for All People’s Soul Food Kitchen in the West End at 419 Kempton Street. Here, you’ll want to grab some lunch at their delicious cafeteria-style, weekend pop-up eatery.
The South End’s Youth Opportunities Unlimited on Brock Avenue is the final neighborhood stop before returning downtown for a rooftop social at Slainte Irish Pub on Union Street.
There’s no cost to ride (food and drink are your own choice) but you need to secure your seat now at the Eventbrite link with a RSVP as only a very limited number are available!
NBx2 is sponsored by New Bedford’s co-working facility, Groundwork! with the support of MassDevelopment.
