AHA! Night: How to Make Cool Art with Mark & Lily

Join us for a family-friendly art-making workshop during AHA! Night Feb 8th from 5pm-7pm. Presented by Groundwork Gallery director, Mark Gleicher and his daughter, Lily. Bring your creative spirit and a loved one and enjoy the art of making, together.

Supplies will be provided but you are encouraged to bring your own as well.

Mark Gleicher and his daughter Lily have been artistic collaborators for most of her 11 years. What started out as a fun way to connect and communicate has evolved into an important shared language that is bedrock to their relationship. The Gleicher’s have been sharing this experience with the public over the last few years. Most recently at The Spotted Newt Gallery at Kilburn Mills in 2021. Bring your loved ones and open your creative heart to the world of making, together.

Mark Gleicher is an artist from Little Compton, RI. who has studied and worked with some of the best artists of a certain generation including Jay Boutin. His work has been exhibited nationally and somewhat internationally throughout his 30 year career, including locally at Gallery X and the Groundwork Gallery in New Bedford. Mark is an Art Classroom Counselor at the Justice Resource Institute/Anchor Academy and the Gallery Director at the Groundwork Gallery.
