SUMMARY:Member Event: BizLab
DESCRIPTION:BizLab is a Groundwork member event that offers business support to the New Bedford community and its surrounding areas. If you aren’t a member but would like to participate in member events\,  join our social club! \nBizLab is a 1 hour collaborative business support group held once a week in the Moby at Groundwork New Bedford. It is designed to provide business support to entrepreneurs\, business owners\, creatives\, and anyone who looking to elevate their work. \nJoin us to access peer support\, connect with fellow coworkers and accelerate your business journey! You never know who might have the answers you are seeking. Ideal for those looking to set goals\, foster accountability\, and drive business growth. We encourage all levels of experience and expertise! \nHear from our Members: \n“Each week\, marketing lab helps me recommit to marketing so I don’t push it aside. I learn amazing tips and tricks from others both during the monthly deep dives\, but also the weekly half hour check-ins. Like: What email system do you use when you outgrow MailChimp? What social media planning calendar works for my peers? How are people using ChatGPT  in their businesses? Plus\, I just enjoy everyone’s company.” \n-Marlissa Briggett\, Publisher\, South Coast Almanac \n“My favorite part of BizLab is how it highlights the diversity of the Groundwork community. There are few other ways to hear input from specialists in engineering\, accounting\, tourism\, or coworking all in the same setting. I find it so useful hearing the different approaches taken by everyone to the topics covered. It also reinforces the sense of community at Groundwork – everyone is so eager to collaborate and help each other out.”  \n-Dan Moriarty\, Project Manager at Whaling City Solar

SUMMARY:Member Event: Monthly Self-Guided Meditation
DESCRIPTION:Monthly self-guided meditation at Groundwork is the perfect addition to your workday whether you’re new to meditation or looking to deepen an established practice. \nAt Groundwork\, we care about our members and the energy they bring to their work. That’s why every third Tuesday of the month\, we transform the Eaton into a soft self-guided meditation space for members to pop in and realign. No sign up required. The space is available 11am-1:30pm for members to come as they are and as they need. \nWhy meditate at work?\nThe positive impacts of a regular meditation are numerous. Meditation can: \n\nHelp reduce stress and anxiety\nReduce loneliness\nHelp you make fewer errors\nHelp you prioritize your tasks to work faster and more effectively\n\nHow to start a self-guided meditation practice at work:\n\nGet comfy: Sit or lie down on the floor or stay in a chair if it’s supportive.\nClose your eyes.\nBreathe deeply in a rhythmic pattern.\nWhile you’re breathing deeply\, turn your focus on each breath.\nIf you get distracted\, that’s ok\, simply acknowledge the distraction and return to noticing your breath\nAs you become more experienced\, you’ll find that your mind will be less distracted and able to focus on each breath.\nStart with five minutes of meditation at first and try to build up to 20 minutes daily\, increasing by time increments that are workable for you. If five minutes is what works for you\, that’s perfect\, too!\n\n✨ This is a member only event. Not a member\, but want to be? Learn more! \nQuestions? Email team@groundwork.space or give us a call 508-441-4622

SUMMARY:Art Exhibit: "Cord-ura; Sanity" by Paulina Fuenzalida-Guzmán
DESCRIPTION:Groundwork is proud to host Cord-ura; Sanity\, a self-guided mixed-media art exhibit by Paulina Fuenzalida-Guzmán. Through thread\, memory\, and personal transformation\, Paulina examines the delicate balance between mental health\, identity\, and belonging in an increasingly unstable world. \nThere is no formal opening for this art exhibit. Self-guided viewing is encouraged during our business hours. M-F 9am-2pm. No appointment required. \nIn this body of work\, textiles become their own emotional language — stitching together experiences of rupture and renewal. The exhibition includes pieces created across different chapters of the artist’s life: reflections on collective trauma and human rights struggles in Chile\, intimate explorations of loss and maternal connection\, and new works that consider how we preserve sanity amid uncertainty. Together\, they trace an invisible cord that holds memory\, tenderness\, and endurance. \nVisit the Exhibition\nThis exhibition is free and open to the public starting Dec 16-Mar 31 2026 during Groundwork’s staffed hours:\nMonday–Friday\, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM\nGroundwork New Bedford\n1213 Purchase Street\, New Bedford\, MA\nEnter through the doors on 1 Maxfield Street. \n  \nLearn More About the Artist\nWebsite: https://paulinarte.wixsite.com/my-site\nInstagram: @paulina_arte\nEmail: paulifuenza@gmail.com
