DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening of Portals\, a solo exhibition by South Coast artist and educator Kate Frazer Rego. This deeply introspective and imaginative body of work invites viewers to reflect on inner dialogue\, stillness\, healing\, and the powerful act of listening to one’s inner child. \nSpanning sculpture\, painting\, installation\, and mixed media\, Kate’s work creates space for quiet moments of connection between viewer and self—each piece a portal into intimate\, sacred conversations. \n. \nOpening Reception: Friday\, May 9th | 6–8 PM\nGroundwork Gallery | 1 Maxfield St\, New Bedford\, MA\n-Music + Light refreshments provided\n-Interactive elements and immersive installations \n. \nAbout the Artist: \nKate Frazer Rego is an artist and educator based in the South Coast of Massachusetts. A graduate of UMass Dartmouth (BFA\, Sculpture) and Boston University (MFA)\, her multidisciplinary work spans sculpture\, installation\, painting\, performance\, and puppetry. Her writings have also appeared in Anomaly Poetry’s annual editions\, Tidings and Rituals. \nKate has spent over a decade teaching art across the region\, with a pedagogy grounded in process\, inclusion\, and social justice.
