DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening exhibition for a solo show by Andy Tedesco: \nDead Space: The Ending is Only the Beginning \nImages and lyrics get assigned to memories. The return to places that are coincidentally familiar. That place where I left her\, even though she was gone before I ever got there. To physically not be able to hold up my own weight; to feel powerless. Some claim the fear of losing a parent is almost paralyzing. I can only speak from this experience; nothing will prepare you for this.  \nWithin the studio\, I am focusing on the element of space so that it creates a pulsating environment for the figure. This cold sterility and weariness is what I am evoking into the space along with figures that are stand-ins\, signifiers of a culture to which I have lost my most immediate tie. The narrative I am exploring is very direct\, a dead culture within a dead space. \nAbout the artist:\nAndrew has obtained his MFA in Painting from UMass Dartmouth\, in 2016. He is currently pursuing exhibition possibilities\, while maintaining his studio practice.
